Safeguarding
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone's responsibility
Safeguarding is of paramount importance at Icknield Primary School. All our staff receive regular training (in house updates at least annually). Our safeguarding and child protection procedures can be found in our Safeguarding Policy below. It can also be found under our policies section on the website.
Icknield Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All staff and governors must ensure that they are aware of these procedures.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) at Icknield Primary School is the Headteacher, Mrs. Joanna Farbon.
The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) at Icknield Primary School is the Lead Family Worker, Mrs Suleha Zaidi
The Governor responsible for Safeguarding is Mr. Forbes.
Both the DSL and DDSL undergo regular training such as Prevent Train the Trainer, Advanced DSL training and Safer Recruitment. Our Safeguarding Governor is a DSL in another local school so has taken part in training with them.
The DSL and DDSLs also attend other training and network meetings over the year as well as making use of online training when relevant.
All staff receive Prevent training annually.
